Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By paying the Booking Fee, signing the consultation form, or ticking the acknowledgement box, the booking client agrees to these Booking Terms and Conditions on behalf of themselves and, where applicable, all persons included in the booking.

If the booking client is arranging a group booking, the booking client confirms that they are authorised to accept these Terms and Conditions for all members of the group and is responsible for ensuring that each person in the booking is made aware of them.

2. Booking Fee
A non-refundable Booking Fee of $50.00, is required to secure your appointment date and time.*
*Excludes bridal bookings and private group bookings. The booking fee will be applied on your personalised quote/invoice.

The Booking Fee reserves the appointment time and covers booking, administration, scheduling, and preparation costs. The Booking Fee will be credited toward the total price of the booked service.

Except where required by law, or where Jaime James Makeup Artistry cancels the booking, the Booking Fee is non-refundable.

3. Quotes and Final Pricing
All quotes are based on the number of clients, services requested, timing, and location advised at the time of booking.

Any changes to the booking may result in a revised quote.

4. Rescheduling by the Client
If the booking client provides at least 7 days’ written notice before the booking date, Jaime James Makeup Artistry may, subject to availability, transfer the Booking Fee to one new appointment date.

Transferred bookings must be rebooked for a date within 6 months of the original booking date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If less than 7 days’ notice is given, the Booking Fee will be forfeited.

5. Cancellations, Reduced Numbers, and Reserved Time
If a booking is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if a client does not attend their appointment, the full amount for the reserved service may be charged and will become immediately due and payable.

For group bookings, quotes are based on the total number of clients originally booked. If the number of clients decreases within 7 days of the booking date, or on the day of service, the full original quoted amount for the affected reserved services may still be charged, as appointment time has been allocated and held.

Any cancellation charge above the Booking Fee is intended to reflect the reasonable loss caused by the late cancellation, reduced numbers, or no-show, including reserved artist time that could not reasonably be rebooked.

6. Contraindications, Infection Control, and Right to Refuse Service
For hygiene, infection-control, and client safety reasons, Jaime James Makeup Artistry may refuse, discontinue, or reschedule any service where a client presents with an active, suspected, or recently healing contraindication, or where the artist reasonably considers that proceeding would create a health, hygiene, or contamination risk.

Contraindications include, but are not limited to: cold sores or oral herpes symptoms, including blistering, scabbing, cracking, or healing lesions around the mouth; conjunctivitis or pink eye; eye infection(s), stye, eye discharge, or unusual eye redness; cold or flu symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, persistent coughing, or other contagious illness symptoms; rash, broken skin, open wounds, skin infection, weeping skin, or active irritation in the service area.

Clients must notify Jaime James Makeup Artistry immediately, at the first sign of any such contraindication arising before the appointment.

If a client attends with a contraindication, fails to disclose a contraindication before the appointment, or is refused service on health, hygiene, or infection-control grounds, the Booking Fee will be forfeited.

If this occurs in a group booking, the reserved service fee for the affected client may still remain payable where appointment time has been specifically allocated and held for that person.

If adequate notice is given before the booking, Jaime James Makeup Artistry may, at its discretion and subject to availability, offer a transfer of the Booking Fee to one new date instead of forfeiture.

7. Late Arrivals
Clients must arrive on time and ready for their scheduled appointment.

If a client arrives late, Jaime James Makeup Artistry may shorten the service to avoid delays to other bookings, or cancel the appointment if there is insufficient time to complete the service safely and professionally.

Late arrival does not entitle the client to a reduced fee or refund.

8. No-Shows and Future Bookings
If a client fails to attend their appointment without prior notice, the full reserved service fee may be charged.

Repeated no-shows, repeated late cancellations, or repeated breaches of these Terms may result in Jaime James Makeup Artistry declining future bookings.

9. If We Cancel
If Jaime James Makeup Artistry cancels a booking, or cannot provide the service for reasons not caused by the client, the client may choose either:
(a) a transfer of the Booking Fee to a new date, subject to availability, or
(b) a refund of any Booking Fee and any other monies paid for services not provided.
